Bao Terigen is a Research Fellow at the National University of Singapore (NUS), specializing in urban wind engineering, wind-resistant performance of new energy structures, and urban climatology. He earned his Ph.D. in Structural Engineering in 2024 and joined NUS as a Research Fellow in the same year. His research focuses on urban microclimate monitoring, field observation and simulation of rooftop PV structure micro-environments, and urban heat island mitigation. His work aims to improve urban microclimates, alleviate the urban heat island effect, and optimize built environment performance under Singapore’s tropical climatic conditions.

Research Interests:

  • Urban microclimate measurement and monitoring

  • Rooftop PV system micro-environment: field observation and simulation

  • Urban heat island (UHI) mitigation strategies

  • Urban wind engineering and wind-resistant design of new energy structures
